We’re excited about our 2009 All Congregational Vacation Bible School program. As a group, we will all embark on a prayer safari into the Kingdom of the Son. We will have a great time with nightly family meals, lively songs, creative crafts, exciting games, and Bible stories - all of the things that make Vacation Bible School so much fun for children. On top of that we will all learn to know God through prayer. The Lord’s Prayer, found in Matthew 6:9-13, is one of the most well-known passages in the Bible. In many churches, like ours, it is recited weekly, but what does it mean? Why did Jesus choose these particular phrases as a model for communicating with our heavenly Father? Through the adventures, we will discover that "God Listens," "God Provides," "God Forgives," "God Protects," and "God Rules!" Come join us on our prayer safari!
Kingdom of the Son can be an inspirational and educational expedition for your entire family. While the children are actively participating in their classes learning about the story for the day, the adults can choose a time of fellowship or participate in a coordinated theme Bible study that matches the story of the day. This helps provide some information that might help in the discussions and reinforcement of the nightly theme with your children.
You won’t want to miss this safari adventure! There will be a $10 registration fee for the entire family that will include all meals, materials and crafts!
Return the completed registration form and fee to the church office, by mail to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 900 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301, or by completing an on-line registration and payment directly on our church website. You only need to fill out one form per family, just include the ages of the participating children. If you could return registrations by July 24th that would be helpful in our planning, but walk-in registrations are always welcomed!
Please note that Nursery Service will be provided during the classroom/Bible Study to children under 3.
