A Message from the Pastors

First Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Gospel-centered community of faith, living in the covenant of our Baptism, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, serving our community, and working for justice and peace in the world.

Nurtured by Word and Sacrament, we believe that in Christ we are made children of God and heirs of everlasting life. By the gift of the Holy Spirit, we are called, gathered, enlightened, and kept in true faith.

Our new Mission Statement, adopted on Palm Sunday, April 1, 2007, says that we are:

First Lutheran is a congregation of the New England Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. A regional church, we serve the communities within a 35-mile radius of the City of Brockton.
